Services for Diagnostic CT Scanning:

In addition to providing the most advanced MRI technology to the region, Open High-Field MRI  and CT of Westchester is pleased to introduce state-of-the-art CT scanning.

We have installed the Toshiba Aestion Multislice Helical CT Scanner which is the latest technology in scanners and unique to the Westchester area.

What does this mean? 

CT scanning, which stands for Computer Assisted Tomography, is a rapid, painless diagnostic examination that combines X-rays and computers to image the inside of the body at far more detail than standard X-rays.  The CT Scanner is shaped like a large donut and the inside rotates around taking images of the body.  Each time the machine rotates it takes an image of one slice of the body.

A Multislice CT Scanner has great advantages over other CT scanners because with each rotation it takes multiple slices of the body in 3-D.  This means that scans are performed much faster with more information obtained.  And because the scans are performed faster, there is less exposure to radiation. 

We can image any part of the body. We are one of the only centers that can perform CTA
(CT angiography), an ultra fast method to accurately view the arteries in your body.

In addition to our CT Scanner, we have installed a Vital Images Workstation which is able to take the data from the CT scanner and convert it into more useful 3-D images.

As with our MRI:

We accept most insurance plans including Medicaid, No Fault, and Workers Comp.

We have convenient hours of operation including weekends.
